Typography: Photos by Christian Liljeberg

It is no secret that we adore Instagram, an App for iPhone users to take photos and share them with the world. We discovered Christian Liljeberg's photos on Instagram, a Swedish typography enthusiast who takes photographs with his iPhone of the most poetic instances of typography on signs, bicycles, pavements and fire hydrants to name but a few.

His compositions are harmoniously crafted with the presence of colour and texture playing as important role as the type itself. The photos portray a sweet nostalgia, and documents the changes the weather and human involvement bring.

The great news is that you don't have to admire his photographs only on Instagram or on the Instagram web viewer called Statigram, but you can also get your own canvas prints of Liljeberg's photographs!

Illustration Inspiration: "Harry and Horsie"

Even though this children's book has been very well documented all over, we felt it is surely a project not to be excluded from our collection.

Harry and Horsie was written by Katie van Camp, and the illustrations were done by Lincoln Agnew. Lincoln received the 2009 “The Original Art” Founder’s Award, an annual prize for the most promising new talent in children’s book illustration, for Harry and Horsie.

The illustrative style gives such a retro character to the book and recalls notions of 1950's comics and advertising, vintage toys and pop art. It makes you feel like a kid again!

For more on Harry and Horsie, you can go to the official website.
You can buy the book from here.

Our latest addiction: Logos Quiz Game

For those brand fanatics out there, this is surely something you might enjoy. Here in our office the latest fix is the app game called Logos Quiz by AticoD. It is available for download from Apple iTunes and designed for both iPhone and iPad.

How does it work? Well, very simple: you are given parts of a logo and you need to guess the name or brand of the logo. Your points earnings help you receive hints that you can use if you run into some difficult ones, and open up new levels for you to continue. You can also ask your friends on Facebook and Twitter if you really get stuck. It's a very basic game, but provides lots of justified time wasting, and is a sure test of your brand knowledge and awareness.

For more information on this game click here. Have fun!
